Online Stock Trading has really come of age opening up a whole new world for the ‘work at home’ trader.

Trading the global stock markets was always the preserve of large financial institutions, corporations, brokers and fund managers. Access to these markets directly was not really possible for individual traders.

Happily, that’s no longer the case with the advent on online stock trading. All a stock investor or trader needs now is a fast internet connection, some basic tools and a broker account to trade in anything from penny stocks to more complex derivatives and Forex.

It’s an exiting time and money can be made by the enterprising trader from the comfort of your own home.

Trading the stock markets is a business, just like any other. It’s a great way to make money either as a supplementary income or even a full time one. Quit your day job! That’s the dream, right?

But beware there are risks. It’s just as easy to lose money as to make it. What you need are the right tools for the job.

We aim to point you in the right direction!

As well as that internet connection you are going to need other tools and techniques to become a successful online stock trader.

We’ll be doing a series of articles, both here on the site and elsewhere to guide you along. We’ll be reviewing stock trading systems, charting software, trading guides and online stock brokers.

We’ll also be looking at how you conduct both fundamental and technical analysis so you understand how to pick winning trades, when to enter and exit the market.

On this site, at least, we will not be looking at the more riskier elements of online trading, like Day Trading or Derivatives, penny stocks or Forex. Nor are we long term investors. Rather we seek to maximize returns by holding stocks for the short to medium term.
