The one of the best ways to beat stock trading risk is to plan your exit.
Planning Your Exit
Is is very important to strip out the emotion from trading and therefore wise traders will plan their exit position long before they even open a trade. It is all too easy to get seduced by a winning trade and try and ride it all the way to the top. Conversely, people will hang on to losing trades for far too long in the hope that they will bounce back.
Make a plan and stick to it, if you have made a mistake, admit to it and exit early.
Stick To Your Chosen Signals
Even when you have made your plan you may be tempted to enter or exit a trade as it approaches your chosen signal. Be patient and wait until it does otherwise you are anticipating the trade and may as well be trading on a whim.

TradeKing have been around since 2005 and offer trading services for a wide range of instruments from stocks to options, EFTs, mutual funds and bonds.
Trade prices are very low, just $4.95 per trade, including broker assisted, so definitely worth a look.
And they will give you up to $150 to reimburse you with the cost of transfer of your account if you already have an existing broker.

The best way to limit stock trading risk is to develop a stock trading plan or system.
Use A Stock Trading Plan
A trading system is developed using your fundamental and technical analysis. It takes time to develop and will ultimately be dependant on your own trading style. And you must constantly monitor and improve its performance if you are to continue to trade successfully.
Know Your Costs
Trading costs are often under estimated or even ‘forgotten’ about when trading. But trading is not cheap and under estimating your costs can quickly turn an apparently winning trade into a losing one. We are not just talking about commission either but also ’slippage’ on your trades. (The difference between your desired trading price and the actual trading price.)

OptionsHouse are an excellent online broker with trade prices as low as $2.95 / trade! Which beats the competition by some margin.
Their primary focus used to be on trading in options, as you would expect but they also offer stock and bond trades.
Indeed, that low price relates to stock trades and applies whether broker assisted or not. But are they any good?
We’ve taken a good look and you can read our full OptionsHouse Review here.

Hi,
Check out our new Online Stock Broker Comparisons page.
We know how confusing it can be to pick an online stock broker to suit your needs. After all, it really does depend on what type of trader your are.
So, we are now going to be adding reviews of the more popular online stock brokers. We have started this off with a comparison of five of the better known brokers and we’ll be adding more as we go along.
We’ll also be adding much more detailed individual reviews so look out for those over the next few weeks.
